Start with the best logo file
Before editing a raster image, check whether an original SVG, EPS, PDF, or transparent PNG already exists. A vector logo scales cleanly and is usually better than removing white from a small JPG. If only a JPG is available, use the highest-resolution version and avoid a file with visible compression blocks.
- Prefer an original vector or transparent file when available.
- Use a large raster image with sharp text.
- Confirm whether white is part of the actual logo design.
- Keep a copy of the unedited source.
Remove the white background
- Upload the logo to the background remover.
- Use automatic detection or sample the white background color.
- Process the image and preview it over black or another dark color.
- Inspect enclosed spaces in letters such as A, B, O, P, and R.
- Reduce cleanup strength if white elements inside the logo disappear.
- Export the finished asset as PNG.
Fix white halos around the logo
A white halo appears when edge pixels from the original background remain partly visible. Previewing the logo on a dark background makes this easy to spot. Increase edge cleanup gradually or slightly reduce edge softness until the fringe disappears.
Do not remove every pale pixel automatically. A logo may contain intentional white fills, highlights, or anti-aliased edges. Compare the result with the original and preserve design elements that belong to the mark.
- Zoom in to at least 200 percent.
- Check thin strokes and small trademark symbols.
- Test the logo on the colors where it will actually appear.
- Keep light and dark logo variants if the brand uses both.
Export sizes for everyday use
Save one large transparent master. Create smaller copies for email signatures, websites, documents, and social profiles as needed. Repeatedly resizing a small copy upward can make the logo blurry, so always generate derivatives from the largest clean version.
Frequently asked questions
Why did parts of my white logo disappear?
The remover may have treated intentional white shapes as background. Lower the tolerance or use a contrasting logo variant.
Can I save the transparent logo as JPG?
No. Save it as PNG or SVG because JPEG cannot preserve transparency.
Why are the logo edges fuzzy?
The source may be too small or edge softness may be too high. Start from a larger file and use lighter refinement.
